Upgrading PrayerCenter





  1. Edit "administrator/components/com_prayercenter/prayercenter.xml" located on your website.



  2. Delete the following lines:



    <queries>

    <query>DELETE FROM #__prayercenter </query>

    <query>DROP TABLE #__prayercenter </query>

    <query>DELETE FROM #__prayercenter_subscribe </query>

    <query>DROP TABLE #__prayercenter_subscribe </query>

    <query>DELETE FROM #__prayercenter_devotions </query>

    <query>DROP TABLE #__prayercenter_devotions </query>

    <query>DELETE FROM #__prayercenter_links </query>

    <query>DROP TABLE #__prayercenter_links </query>

    </queries>



  3. Make a backup of the existing configuration settings and tables. Version 1.3.0 & later will attempt to carry over the settings from the previous versions.



  4. Uninstall the previous version.



  5. Install the new version.



  6. Check the PrayerCenter settings and restore if needed.
